Do it! Done in a Day Volunteering with NPN

Written by: Amy Johnson

As many of you know, Neighborhood Parents Network is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization founded in 1980. Our mission is to connect a diverse community of families with the resources they need to navigate parenting in the city. We have a membership of 6,000 active family members and we’re growing every day.

Our volunteer community is growing too! Our member volunteers help plan, coordinate, and implement several of our most popular events including our Pre New Year’s Eve Family Celebration, Wake Up & Boogie Down Family Festival, and our school fairs. Right now we are specifically recruiting members to volunteer on Sunday December 29th at our Pre New Year's Eve Family Celebration.

Volunteering with NPN is fun and easy. We’re using VolunteerSpot to organize our upcoming activities. Here’s how it works in 3 easy steps:

  1. Click this link to go to our invitation page on VolunteerSpot:
  2. Review the activities listed and choose the one(s) you like.
  3. Sign up! It’s Easy — you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on VolunteerSpot.

Note: VolunteerSpot does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, please contact me and I can sign you up manually.

All you need to volunteer is a friendly spirit and willingness to help. It is a really FUN way to meet other parents in the community and it’s an EASY and VALUABLE way to give back to NPN.

If you have any questions please contact We hope you will volunteer with us soon!
