Neighborhood Parents Network needs you! NPN volunteers have fun, make friends, and make a difference. You can too! Here are some ways for you to volunteer with NPN this year. Email amy@npnparents.org to sign up! 

 

Done in a Day – Mix & mingle with guests, help with check-in, setup and clean up, etc. If you can only stay for part of the volunteer shift, that is ok! 

8/27 - Summer Soccer Bash, Chitown Futbol Pilsen, (8:30am - 10:30am) or (10:00am - 12:00pm)

8/29 - Babies, Tots, N More Consignment Event, Lil' Kickers Bradley Place, (4:00pm - 6:30pm) or (6:00pm - 9:00pm)

9/15 - Strollers First 5K & Festival - Run. Walk. Play, Park at Lake Shore East, (7:00am - 9:30am) or (8:30am - 12:00pm) or (10:30am - 1:00pm)

9/21 – South Side School Fair, Hyde Park Neighborhood Club, (8:00am – 11:30am) or (11:00am – 2:30pm)

10/19 – NPN Preschool & Elementary School Fair, Grossinger City Autoplex, (8:00am – 11:30am) or  (11:00am – 2:30pm)

12/29 - Pre New Year's Eve Family Celebration, Lil' Kickers Bradley Place, (2:00pm - 4:30pm) or (4:00pm - 6:30pm)

 

On-going

Silent Auction Committee member - Visit businesses to solicit donations, attend committee meetings

Wake Up & Boogie Down Family Fest committee member - Help at the event, attend monthly committee meetings, reach out to businesses

New Moms Group Host - Welcome a group of moms into your home once a week for three consecutive weeks and help facilitate introductions, conversation, and support.

Neighborhood & Special Interest Group Volunteers - Coordinate at least one event per month to help members and non-members meet, help each other, and get to know NPN. Volunteers needed for the following groups:

  • Asian Moms
  • Corporate to Stay At Home Moms group (CORP2SAHM)
  • Logan Square – new group!!
  • Multiples Group
  • Near West-South Side
  • North Center/Lincoln Square
  • Northwest Side
  • Same Sex Parents
  • South Side
  • Working Moms
