NPN Continues to Provides Benefits to Chicago Parents Through Local Employers

CHICAGO, IL – Continuing to offer city parents the most valuable resources possible, Neighborhood Parents Network of Chicago (NPN) is introducing a new partnership with Leo Burnett that will provide support for working parents in Chicago.  NPN has had workplace partnerships with local companies to provide them with discounted (or free) NPN memberships as a benefit to their employment since 2012. Chicago-based Leo Burnett, is the largest corporation to partner with NPN to date.

NPN Executive Director Melanie Schlachter says, “Partnering with a large company like Leo Burnett and their ParentKind resource group is a great opportunity to show working parents all of the unique resources NPN can provide. We want to do everything we can to support working parents – by helping them secure the best childcare, land in the schools that work best for their families, and address the many questions and work-life balance issues faced by so many. Having the ability to cater to more working parents in the Loop has been a goal of ours for some time and Leo Burnett has opened their hearts and doors to us. We are very thankful for that”. As part of the partnership, NPN will provide Leo Burnett employees with a customized, quarterly parent education series.  Existing NPN members are invited to attend the Leo Burnett programs, as space allows. The first event titled “Building Blocks for Raising Confident and Bully-Proof Kids” presented by Jill Hope, will be occurring on Thursday, April 30 at 9 a.m. Visit for more information about that event.     

Parents that have access to NPN through their employer have priority admission to the highly anticipated annual school fairs, parent-recommend childcare classifieds, unlimited access to the online discussion forum, 30+ events per month including several parent education programs, and tools for everything from school search to finding a physician.
