Parenting Your Anxious Child

No one says it is easy to be a parent and it is all the more challenging to raise an anxious child.  I write these words from two vantage points.  I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of children with anxiety disorders and I am the parent of a highly anxious little girl.

Summer Survival Tips

I have to say, I am so tired of hearing about the "lazy days of summer". Really, who gets to just hang out? Certainly not I or any other working parent. Although fun-packed, summer is the busiest season of the year. Not only do you still have to do all the usual chores and errands, but you have to find time for summer fun too!
